Final of the project implemented by NAFA in partnership with Tax Norway
The partnership between the two institutions was carried out within the project "Improving integrity in the National Agency For Fiscal Administration through institutional cooperation and capacity building" and also benefited from the expertise of the General Secretariat of the Government (GSG).
The project purpose was to increase the administrative capacity of the General Directorate for Integrity (GDI) within NAFA and to raise awareness among NAFA's employees and the Romanian society in general about measures taken for preventing and fighting corruption and professional ethics violations within NAFA, through cooperation and exchange of experience with Tax Norway, as well as with similar structures from European countries with relevant experience (Poland, Netherlands, UK, Italy and Denmark).
Have been identified risks and vulnerabilities to corruption and have been proposed measures to mitigate them in a final study available both in Romanian and in English language on the project website https://www.anaf.ro/anaf/internet/GRANTURI.
With the support of the Norwegian partner have been developed / improved the methodologies, mechanisms to prevent and combat corruption and breaches of ethics and professional integrity, the IT platform for specific activity of GDI and related logistics.
The project was financed within the RO18 Programme – "Capacity-building and Institutional Cooperation between Romanian and Norwegian Public Institutions, Local and Regional Authorities" through the Norway Grants 2009-2014, implemented by Ministry of European Funds as Programme Operator - additional information about the programme are available on the web site http://www.eeagrants.ro/en/pnc-programs.
