Voice Through Design - an award-winning project at the National Gala of Civil Society!

The EEA Grants supported the partnership between the Association for Social Mobility and Democratic Education and Turda City Hall in their mission to give young people a voice to tell their stories.

Why is it important for young people to tell their stories? Because otherwise, adults and community decision-makers do not understand the problems they face and how these issues affect their daily lives. The perspective from which they face bullying, school dropout, unhealthy relationships, financial problems, and other pressing issues can be the key to solving their problems.

"Voice Through Design" is a manifesto for community change and progress.

How? It provided young people with a necessary platform to express their stories and concerns in a way that attracts support and generates positive changes through:

  • Connecting young people from 11 educational institutions, promoting diversity and equal opportunities.
  • Training 50 young people in the art of communicating their stories in an impactful and relevant way.
  • Designing and distributing a study reflecting the perspectives and issues of young people from the communities involved in the project.

Get involved! And make the world a better place!
