Extended suspension of the open call for bilateral initiatives related to the „Timișoara European Capital of Culture 2021” - the EEA and Norway Grants

Update: 24.06.2020 - The suspension of the open call „Timișoara European Capital of Culture 2021” is extended indefinitely due to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19 and the uncertainty the organizers of bilateral events are confronted with at this moment. The open call may be resumed once a clear calendar for the implementation of this event is available, following a final decision taken by the European Union and Romanian authorities in this respect.

Update: 24.03.2020 - the open call is suspended for a period of 3 calendar months. This decision comes as a result of the uncertainty and risks related to the implementation of bilateral initiatives in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon relaunch, the deadline for the submission of applications will be extended accordingly.

The total budget is 1 mil euro, financing rate - 100%.

Date of closing of the call: 30 September 2020, 16:00 hours the latest (Romanian time) or until funds depletion.

Applications under this call shall be submitted via the web-module developed on the www.eeagrants.ro website, managed by the National Focal Point, available at t2021.eeagrants.ro.

This call will finance the organisation of events, workshops, conferences, seminars, campaigns, festivals, artistic productions, exhibitions, fairs, aiming at the sharing and transfer of knowledge, technology, experience and best practice.

All these events should be connected with Timișoara European Capital of Culture 2021 and in partnership with similar entities from the Donor States – Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Any public or private entity, as well as non-governmental organisations, established as a legal person either in the Donor States or Romania are considered eligible promoters and partners.
