Regional informative seminars addressed to the entities interested to submit projects within the call for proposals “Enhancing Roma Inclusion and Empowerment”

The Romanian Fund for Social Development, as Operator of the Programme "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Roma Inclusion" (Local Development), funded by EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021, organizes  three regional informative seminars addressed to entities interested in submitting projects within the call for proposals “Enhancing Roma Inclusion and Empowerment.

The call for proposals " Enhancing Roma Inclusion and Empowerment ", which will be launched by the FRDS in September 2019, has a total financial allocation of 16 million euros and aims at promoting social inclusion, combating discrimination and racism, promoting intercultural exchanges and strengthening the capacity to support development in communities with a high percentage of Roma.

The regional events aims to provide participants with specific information on the financing conditions of the projects to be submitted within the mentioned call and will take place in

  • Cluj-Napoca (Cluj County), on September 11, 2019, seminar addressed to West, North-West, and Center Development Regions. Persons interested in participating in the seminar are requested to complete the registration form.
  • Craiova (Dolj County), on September 13, 2019, seminar addressed to South Muntenia, South-West Oltenia, and Bucuresti-Ilfov Development Regions. Persons interested in participating in the seminar are requested to complete the registration form.
  • Iași (Iași County), on September 17, 2019, seminar addressed to North-East and South-East Development Regions. Persons interested in participating in the seminar are requested to complete the registration form.

We specify that if there are more requests to participate than the number of available seats, the participants will be selected in the order of enrolment, limiting the participation of several representatives of the same organization / institution. Only the selected people will receive an official invitation, which will contain detailed information about the event. We mention that no costs related to attending the event are not supported by the organizers.

Implemented in partnership with the Council of Europe (CoE) and the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS), the Programme has a total budget of 82,352,941 euro (including 15% co-financing by the Romanian Government). Enrolled in the efforts of the EEA and Norway Grants to combat poverty and social exclusion through the development of strong and inclusive communities, the Local Development Programme aims, through funded projects, to contribute to the increased use of social services by the disadvantaged groups, the social inclusion of children and young people at risk and the Roma, to develop the capacity of the central and local administration to apply the principles of good governance and to support the implementation of ECHR recommendations on human rights respect in Romania.
