Business development (Business development, innovation and SMEs)

The objective of the programme is added value stimulation and Romanian entrepreneurship sustainable development through encouraging long-term cooperation between entities in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Romania, based on business development and innovation in:

• business sustainable development
• green industry innovation
• information and communication technology (ICT)
• Blue Growth

Programme management

The programme is managed by the Norwegian organization Innovation Norway, as Programme Operator, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy in Romania.

Projects selected under the calls for projects, including the small grants schemes, organized by the Programme Operator in 2018-2019 will be funded.

Green industry innovation, information and communication technology and Blue Growth – 2018 (21,083,334 EUR – of which 6,000,000 EUR small grants scheme for SMEs and NGOs)

Call for projects for the development/implementation and investments in green innovating technologies, development of “green” products and services and development/implementation of “greener production processes”, development of IT&C products/processes/solutions or components, investments in maritime supra-structures, development of sea transport solutions, development/investments in coastal and maritime tourism, development/investments in “blue” biotechnology, development/investments in seabed mining resources and development of solutions in blue energy.

Boost to business sector initiatives (small grants scheme) (1,000,000 EUR)

Funding initiatives that meet the needs of the SMEs and of their managers, in areas such as professional development, training and assistance in fields such as intellectual property rights, strategic design and development of businesses for companies established more than 6 months prior to the implementation.

Business skills development initiatives (small grants schemes) (1,000,000 euro)

Funding initiatives that meet the needs of the SMEs and of their managers, in areas such as: training, coaching, guidance for SMEs through clusters, business organizations (incubators, accelerators, etc.), support in green innovation, circular economy or internationalization.
